PRP Therapy

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy

Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy is an excellent non-surgical tool to treat thinning and sparse density of hairs. This leads not only to strengthening of existing hairs, but also to regeneration of hairs to a significant extent. It is a safe procedure.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy

Purpose

$

Male pattern hair loss- Sparse hair density in an initial level of baldness can be overcome with PRP. One of the excellent options is combining PRP with hair transplant. In areas of complete baldness (with no hair roots) hair transplant is done and at the same time, in the areas of hair thinning, PRP is done thus getting maximum outcome.

$

Female pattern hair loss- Females usually have diffuse hair loss resulting in sparse density and see through appearance of scalp. PRP is specifically meant to increase the hair density in diffuse alopecia.

$

Metabolic causes of hair loss : This is generally because of metabolic deficiencies like iron / vitamin / deficiencies.PRP along with mesotherapy enriches the scalp with nutrients leading to hair growth, though role of nutritional care can’t be ignored.

Procedure: This is done as an outdoor procedure and is practically painless. The small amount of platelet rich plasma which is part of your blood, is mixed with certain hair growth factors / stem cells and is applied over scalp. The penetration into the scalp is facilitated either by directly injecting the solution or by preparing the area with certain instruments like derma roller.

Duration of Procedure: 30 minutes to 1 hr. Therapy involves multiple sittings (three or more sittings) for treatment, each sitting to be repeated at an interval of 10 to 14 days.

Anesthesia: Local

Recovery Time: Immediate

Longevity of Results: Long lasting with healthy lifestyle and good hair care.
